PRO TIP: The straw is meant to fit tightly into the lid so that it is leakproof. If you have trouble inserting the straw the first time you use it, try this: put some near-boiling water into a small bowl and hold the end of the straw in that for 10 seconds until it softens a little. The straw should then fit more easily onto the lid.
